The test confirms hepatitis C infection (HCV) and monitor its treatment. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a potentially life-threatening infection caused by contact with contaminated blood or blood products. If you have experienced symptoms of liver disease or have been exposed to HCV, this test can be used to provide a diagnosis or monitor your treatment.

Please note:
The CDC recommends that all adults born from 1945 through 1965 should be tested once. Testing is also recommended based on risk factors.

This test does not require fasting.
